PolyCrystal speaker spikes are very effective at decoupling the resonance and vibration that induces coloration and smears the sound stage. Their carefully designed geometry is optimized for use under speakers, though with a simple removal of the stud they will hold their own when used as isolators under sensitive electronic components. In his review of PolyCrystal speaker spikes in the April 1998 issue of Stereophile, Jonathan Scull wrote:

"The effect was hardly subtle... I noticed highs that were beautifully open, clear, and lovely. The midrange seemed clarity itself, at the same time full of harmonic flavor and color. The bass was transparent, fast, acoustic, and natural."

Upon comparing the PolyCrystal Spikes to a competitor's spring-loaded damper design, Scull noted:

"The space between notes, the air in the re-created soundstage, is somehow more glowing and present than the total transparency rendered by the spring-loaded dampers."

Since this review was written, Scull has used PolyCrystal components numerous times in his testing of speakers, amplifiers and other electronic componentry.

And here's what the owners of a pair of $6,500 audiophile speakers said of the improvements after installing the PolyCrystal spikes:

"Out of the box they sounded great, wonderfully warm and detailed. We couldn't find favorite tracks to play fast enough. We finally decided on a placement and then put the PolyCrystal feet on, oh my God!!! What a difference, the bass became more focused and tight, the whole speaker seemed more musical. We have lived with them for three weeks now and our time listening to music has tripled along with our joy."

PolyCrystal-coated brass speaker spikes are available in three different sizes and will improve the performance of any floor standing loudspeaker, speaker stand, or component rack. Our spikes come with the popular ¼-20 threaded insert used by the majority of high-end speaker manufacturers.

The spikes are complemented by our unique Multi-stud line, a variety of studs threaded ¼-20 on the "spike" end, and a specific thread on the other to accommodate the most common SAE, metric and ISO threads found on speakers from all over the world.
