Since this review was written, Scull
has continued to use PolyCrystal
racks, amp stands, isolators, spikes
and cable towers to audition and
review equipment—as do many other
audio experts such as Chip Stern,
Wayne Donnelly and Larry Kay.
Scull’s experience with the PolyCrystal
Isolators is hardly unique; in the
April 2001 issue of The Stereo Times,
Marshall Nack reported that the
Isolators "sounded great:
a darker, fuller overall sound with
smoother and more prominent bass...
the result is tighter, more focused
images".
